Will Bartlett
Piano
Will Bartlett read music at St. Peter's college, Oxford, specialising in composition and musical analysis as well as directing the Oxford University jazz orchestra.
Based in London since 2004, he completed an MA in jazz performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with Simon Purcell, John Taylor and Pete Churchill. He was awarded the Archer scholarship at Trinity college of music in 2005 and was pianist for the National Youth Jazz orchestra from 2005-2008.

Since then he has worked as a pianist, educator and composer/arranger with names including Stan Sulzmann, Norman Winstone, Claire Martin, Matt Ford, Jim Mullen, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, The Manchester Camerata, Steve Williamson, Peter King, Alan Barnes, Anita Wardell, Tony Kofi, Shlomo and Keith Mansfield. He has recently studied Hammond Organ with Mike Le Donne and Piano with Jeb Patton and Jacob Sacks in New York.
He has worked as pianist Musical Director for Salena Jones and Ray Quinn, and written orchestrations for Emilia Martensson, Norma Winstone, Atila Huseyin and the Freiburg Philharmonic.

He now lives in Freiburg, Germany, performing with his new piano trio, as well as directing the Freibuger Schüler Jazzorchestra and playing with the Jazzchor Freiburg, the Freiburg Philharmonic and The Pasadena Roof Orchestra.
