Kate Mullins has been teaching voice one to one and on jazz/voice courses for the past 15 years. She also curates and runs voice workshops. An alumnus of Trinity College of Music, she is probably most well known for her work as one third of the internationally acclaimed vocal harmony trio, The Puppini Sisters and performs regularly under her own name on the British jazz scene with some of the country’s leading musicians too.
Her work with The Puppini Sisters has seen them awarded a Gold Disc for the first of their 4 albums on Universal Records and The Sisters have performed all over the world including tours of The United States, Europe, Russia and the Far East. Their numerous TV appearances include The One Show, The Royal Variety Show, Buble's Christmas Specials (U.K. and U.S.), The Graham Norton Show, This Morning, Loose Women, BBC Breakfast News, Jonathan Creek and Strictly Come Dancing, to name but a few.
The Sister's multi-platinum selling Jingle Bells collaboration with Michael Bublé paved the way for further recording collaborations with him and a live show at The O2 Arena. Other collaborations include being in the line-up with the legendary Carole King on her BBC Christmas TV Special, supporting Cyndi Lauper on her True Colours tour in 2014, Seal, John Barrowman and most recently with Gary Barlow on his 2021 hit Christmas single, "Winter Wonderland".
Kate is a specialist in vocal harmony and arranging in this style. Her voice lessons focus on solid technical foundations that help to enable good vocal habits and emotional freedom in the singer. Kate believes that a good grasp of appropriate musical theory is an important part of becoming an adaptable and flexible jazz vocalist, so scat and improvisational techniques are another key component of her teaching style. Repertoire from a cross genre spectrum is always heartily encouraged!"
