Nick Mills

Hailing from the fine city of Norwich, Nick studied jazz at the famed Leeds College of Music from 1998-2001 winning the brass award in 01 and appeared with the European youth big band. 

​

Since then Nick has toured the UK and the World with various bands and styles of music. From 20/30's Hot Jazz with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra and Piccadilly Dance Orchestra, 40's Glenn Miller UK, New Squadronairs and the Memphis Belle Orchestra, 50/60's the Rat Pack and more modern jazz with the Mike Garrick, Pete Hurt and London Jazz Orchestras.

Along side that Nick has performed with UK Latin legends the late Robin Jones King Salsa, Snowboy and Roberto Pla latin ensemble, Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion and in the pop idiom with the late Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Lily Allen, Gregory Porter, Elbow, Fatboy Slim, Lulu. As well as Australian hip hop legends the Hilltop Hoods and UK band the Abstract Orchestra. 

 

Nick also runs his own bands the Bluenote Project and Nick Mills Quintet which have performed and run workshops all over the UK for the last 20yrs featuring some of the finest musicians available.
